It is quick and easy to give Preciate a try. Here's how to do it in less than 60 min of total time invested.
Preciate is free to use, which makes it easy for culture builders and HR leaders to try. No budget, no approvals, no reason to wait.
It will take less than 60 min of your time to get a small group started. Just follow the five steps below.
1. Sign yourself up for Preciate (2 min)
Choose your preferred Preciate app, sign up, and select your company. It's important to connect your company to your Preciate account.
If your company is not listed in Preciate, you can request your company during the sign up process. If you already have a Preciate account and need to update your company, you can do so in Settings in the web, iOS, Android, or MS Teams apps.
2. Recruit culture builders and influencers (15 min)
You know who they are. The relationship builders, the leaders, the people who aren't afraid of appreciating others. We recommend you start with a group of 5 to 10 people.
- Send a quick email invitation (Sample email here) (5 min)
- Answer questions (5 min)
- Set a day and time. Then send a calendar invite to your very first recognition party! (5 min)
If you've picked the right people, you will make their day when you invite them to participate in a Preciate pilot.
3. Host a recognition party (30 min)
OK, "party" might be stretching it a bit. You don't need cake, candles, or presents. Just a room where everyone can sit, send recognition to each, and smile.
Make sure people bring either a laptop or their mobile phone.
Agenda for the recognition party:
- Introduction, thanks for coming, etc.
- Everyone installs Preciate, if they have not done so already.
- Add connections. Use Search tool or add manually. Connections can be added with a cell phone number or email address.
When Preciate+ is purchased and launched, we pre-load everyone in a company and add them automatically to your connections. For a small pilot test using the free version of Preciate, connections need to be added individually.
- Each person should send at least 2 recognitions during the party.
Recognitions are more fun when you use pictures, stickers, and signatures!
4. Send five recognitions over the next week (10 min)
You are a culture builder and leader. People take their cues from you, so show them how it's done. Send at least one recognition a day to your co-workers in the pilot.
If you can't think of anything to recognize them for, just thank them for helping you try out Preciate!
5. Celebrate yourself (2 min)
After a week or two, the pilot should have served its purpose. Maybe you even added some more people to Preciate. Awesome!
Even if you don't want to move forward with Preciate, take a few minutes to congratulate yourself. You did something that helped people grow closer.
Feels good, right? Imagine how great it feels when your whole company is growing closer!

You can modify this any way that makes sense.
I'm reaching out to you today with an invitation to help me test a new way for us to strengthen our company culture and grow employee engagement. I promise this won't take much time, and it will be fun and rewarding, too.
Do you ever feel like it would be beneficial to the company if more recognition was given to our people when they do something great?
I found an interesting new app called Preciate that makes it fast and fun to give recognition. Would you be willing to help me try out Preciate to see if it could work for us?
All it will require is for you to join Preciate and start recognizing people in the pilot group. If we don't like the tool, we don't have to use it. But if we do, we could potentially roll it out to the rest of the company.
Let me know your thoughts, thanks!
